It has a resistance range of 20 to 1000 MΩ at 500 VAC. A scale of colored LED lights allow you to instantly verify the condition of the insulation being tested. Three zones are featured on the megohmmeter bad, caution, and good. A red LED light illuminates in the bad zone for readings below 20 MΩ, which indicate low insulation or short circuit. The caution zone features yellow LED lights which illuminate for readings between 40 and 100 MΩ. Green LED lights illuminate in the good zone for readings between 150 to 1000 MΩ.
