The HART BASIC Stud Finder is the perfect tool for simple projects such as hanging pictures or towel racks. Its compact size allows you to easily keep track of your tool by slipping it into a pocket. The HART BASIC stud finder is a Center Finder and thus eliminates the additional steps of scanning both direction and marking to find the center of the hidden object. The operation simply press and hold the button. The unit will quickly calibrate, and the LEDs will illuminate in sequence as you approach a stud until it turns green to pinpoint the center.
