This lock fits on both left and right handed doors, and can be installed in minutes with all included hardware. INSTALLATION The MUTEX Classic Privacy Indicator Doorknob will fit most standard doors between 1 3/8 inches and 2 inches thick. For doors thinner than 1 inch, some light modification of the spindle is necessary. The latch can be backset and accommodates from 2?” to 2?” if needed.
